we are wounded so deep we cannot see where it ends our whole body is consumed by the wound by Cypress Atlas

there's something inside it's too big to hold there there's something inside it's too dark in there if you want to try to understand the way it feels maybe try to understand a potted plant that wants to spread its roots in the morning i am nothing i am free for a moment i don't know anything there's a shadow in the back of the room hardly notice that it's there but it's there

when we had no money we were golden when we thought we made up what we had been everything was different in the morning nobody knew what to do so i went and got up shaking off the night song several instant cures were sent to my apartment i became a hero dreaming like a knew how we both listened to the fireworks in the kitchen we both listened to the fireworks in the kitchen we made ourselves something good to eat we made ourselves something good to eat everybody else was asleep everybody else was asleep we looked around in the kitchen and saw how we'd been living a box of instant medicine was the only thing in the cabinet and we thought about the sounds we heard was it a hand grenade or a hummingbird? we picked up a transmission with the absolute dimensions of our mission we both listened to the fireworks in the kitchen everybody else was asleep

silence from the marble creatures do they even feel? as the children all fight for their mother to heal i just wanna say, cause there's no other way they're trying to take all the water away they're trying to take all the water away (silence) (silence) silence from across the land silence from the ones with names just silence self-destructive silence though out bodies are made of it they're gonna take it all they're gonna make us beg for it i'm so thirsty i could drink from the ground but it ain't legal i could drink from the sky but it ain't legal they're gonna take it all they're gonna make us beg for it i could drink from the source but the source is owned, of course "if we could feel the pain then the pain would be so great that we would end it"

i'm made out of lightning made out of wind it's just like i thought it'd be the endless night sky and me and if you are sleeping i hope it's a nightmare so maybe you'll wake in time i hope that you wake in time cause it's just like a movie and it's gonna end but first is the climax and then we can start again what falls from the sky what falls to the earth is going to touch you and it's gonna hurt but we have the medicine
